AI Governance & Compliance

Compliance Document Control

Compliance Document Control

Artificial Intelligence has entered business processes in an uncontrolled way and faster than the rules governing it.
AI models are increasingly used to support strategic decisions, often without adequate prior evaluation or a full understanding of the logic behind their outputs, with the risk of errors, bias and misuse of confidential data. Without rules, responsibilities and controls, businesses expose themselves to security vulnerabilities (e.g. leaks of confidential information, exposure to attacks), regulatory non-compliance and operational inefficiencies (incorrect decisions, increased costs).
AI adoption therefore requires structured oversight, both for those who develop it and for those who use it (deployers).
Euranet’s AI Governance & Compliance service helps businesses govern and use AI responsibly, control its decisions and risks, and protect processes, data and know-how without slowing innovation. It also supports compliance with regulations, including the AI Act.
AI Governance
What does the AI Act require?
Robot1
Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, known as the AI Act, adopts a risk-based approach, distinguishing between systems with unacceptable risk (prohibited), high risk (subject to strict requirements), limited risk (subject to transparency obligations) and minimal risk (with no specific obligations), with different responsibilities and obligations for providers and deployers.
The main obligations imposed by the Regulation include:
A documented quality management system.
A risk management system that is continuous and documented throughout the lifecycle.
Adequate levels of AI literacy for operational staff.
Transparency obligations (e.g. informing users when they interact with an AI system).
Data governance to detect and correct bias.
Accuracy, robustness and cybersecurity, with automatic event recording (logs).
The AI Act applies generally from 2 August 2026, with deadlines also in 2027 and 2028.

Euranet’s Governance & Compliance roadmap

Euranet integrates existing corporate management systems (ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001, etc.) with the requirements of the AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001 and applicable harmonised standards, translating these requirements into an AI Management System that is operational, documented and aligned with business processes.

Euranet guides businesses through a clear and consistent roadmap: we start with an initial assessment and define the scope of risks and obligations, design governance and policies, and support implementation through operational controls, internal audits and ongoing updates.
Initial assessment and scope definition:
Inventory of AI systems and use cases, identification of risks, roles, controls and obligations
Governance design:
Policies, roles, rules of use, responsibilities, authorisation levels and human oversight, with coordinated compliance with the AI Act and DORA, where applicable
Implementation and controls:
preparation of documents, registers and evidence; checks on data, suppliers and incidents; role-specific training; support for implementing AI Act obligations
Verification and maintenance:
Internal audits, management review, verification of corrective actions and continuous improvement
